How Facebook Helps Build Blog Traffic and Audience Growth<\/h2>\n

Being active on social networking sites on a frequent basis is, to me, an important part of building an audience for your blog\u2014more so than trying to optimize for Google, though some might argue.<\/p>\n

Lately, Facebook has become a more prominent platform for getting targeted traffic and readers to my blog. In the past few weeks, I\u2019ve seen a steady increase in traffic from Facebook by experimenting with different ideas and strategies, which I\u2019m going to share with you in this post shortly.<\/p>\n

Before I start explaining the six strategies I use, it\u2019s important to understand that to make a real impact on Facebook in terms of traffic generation, you need to work at it. Simply being on Facebook isn\u2019t enough. You need more than just a personal profile with a few scattered friends.<\/p>\n

Ideally, you should have an active Facebook page with a solid strategy for increasing fans and also be an active member of as many Facebook groups related to your niche as possible.<\/p>\n

In addition, find as many Facebook pages from your blogging friends, colleagues, and other related pages in your niche as possible and like those pages. Engage on those pages by adding value to the conversations. You\u2019ll often find that people will follow you back on your Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Six Proven Ways to Increase Facebook Traffic to Your Blog<\/h2>\n

Now allow me to share with you six simple tips and ideas for increasing Facebook traffic to your blog. Grab yourself a coffee\u2014or whatever you enjoy drinking these days\u2014and let\u2019s get started (leave the whiskey for later).<\/p>\n

Facebook traffic increased by 446% in the last 14 days.<\/p>\n

Tip 1: Post Frequently on Facebook<\/h2>\n

You can\u2019t expect to get traffic from Facebook if you post once a month\u2014forget it. You need to post at least three or four times per week. Try not to focus too much on YOU, YOU, YOU in your posts.<\/p>\n

Share your content during peak times as well, which according to Mashable is between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays.<\/p>\n

Tip 2: Use Screen Captures to Promote Blog Posts<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019ve been pasting your blog post links on Facebook pages and groups and wondering why people aren\u2019t viewing or clicking them, here\u2019s a helpful tip.<\/p>\n

I started doing this a few weeks ago after seeing it on Social Media Examiner\u2019s Facebook page, and it has been very effective\u2014largely responsible for the recent increase in Facebook traffic to my blog.<\/p>\n

Take a screen capture of your latest blog post, trim unnecessary parts, and upload it as an image to your Facebook page timeline. Add a unique description and the link to the respective post. This approach results in more views, likes, and link clicks.<\/p>\n

Do this on your Facebook page and, if possible, in Facebook groups you belong to.<\/p>\n

Additionally:<\/h3>\n

Visual content such as images and screenshots naturally attracts more engagement on Facebook than plain text links.<\/p>\n

Case Study 1: Screen Capture Strategy Boosting Engagement<\/h3>\n

A blogger replaced standard link posts with image-based previews. Engagement increased noticeably, and click-through rates improved within weeks.<\/p>\n

Tip 3: Share Content People Want to Share<\/h2>\n

Ask yourself whether you are truly posting content your fans want to read and share.<\/p>\n

Review your page timeline or analytics to identify which posts receive the most likes, shares, and views. Then create more of that type of content. Whether it\u2019s images, videos, questions, or resource links, give your audience what they enjoy.<\/p>\n

A great way to understand reader preferences is by posting a question poll.<\/p>\n

Tip 4: Add Your Blog URL to the About Section<\/h2>\n

On your Facebook page, you\u2019ll find an \u201cAbout\u201d section. Many people add a description but forget to include their website link.<\/p>\n

Make sure your blog URL appears at the beginning of your About description, not at the end. This ensures it\u2019s one of the first things visitors see.<\/p>\n

Tip 5: Create Your Own Facebook Group<\/h2>\n

In addition to joining Facebook groups, consider creating your own.<\/p>\n

Build a Facebook group where members can share useful and valuable content without spamming. Once your group grows, share content from your blog using earlier strategies and pin posts for maximum visibility. Creating my own Facebook group has helped increase traffic to my blog.<\/p>\n

One of the most important Facebook marketing tips is to avoid only sharing your own content. Be resourceful by sharing valuable content from others as well.<\/p>\n

To drive targeted traffic, you must be visibly active on Facebook every day. Comment on user posts, join conversations, respond to messages, and engage with comments on your page. Build relationships and encourage participation.<\/p>\n
